FAQ about Russian Volume Eyelashes

If you’re new to world of lash extensions, sometimes the load of information can seem overwhelming. Sure, it’s easy to understand what general lash extensions are, but bring the terms mink, silk, sable, and Russian Volume into the mix and it gets a little more confusing. For the purpose of this blog, were not going to delve into the world of mink and sable lashes, but we will talk about a few questions that we often get asked about Russian Volume extensions.

There are two questions about Russian lashes that we get asked more than any other. The first question is, ‘how are Russian lashes different than general extensions’? The difference really stands in the ratio of falsies to realsies (yes, today we’re going to make ‘realsies’ a word!).

In regular lash extensions, one falsie is applied to each natural lash (realsie). That’s a 1:1 ratio for lashes. With Russian volume lashes, anywhere from 2-8 falsies can be applied to each realsie. In other words, Russian volume extensions are like general extensions in overdrive – bolder, thicker, and fuller.

The second question we get asked all the time is ‘will they make my eyes heavy?’ Considering the fact that there are so many more on your eyes, this is a completely logical question. But the answer is no. Russian lashes are extremely lightweight, even moreso than regular falsies – so until you look in the mirror, you won’t even know they’re there!

Of course, there are so many other questions to be asked about Russian lashes – so stay tuned for the next blog for answers to more commonly asked questions!
